Janice Switzer

Janice E. Switzer, age 92, of Franklin, passed away Friday, October 16, 2026 at the Purple Iris Nursing Facility.

A daughter of Clair and Jesse Heffernan Davis, she was born June 10, 1934 in Franklin, PA.

Janice was married on December 26, 1953 to Truman A. Switzer by Reverend Charles Rummel in the Rocky Grove Methodist Church.

She was a member of the Oil City Church of the Nazarene.

Mrs. Switzer was an avid reader, enjoyed baking and canning, flower gardening, and most of all traveling with her husband, family picnics, and family trips to the lake.

Surviving are three sons, Chris (Patti) Switzer, Mark (Darlene) Switzer, Kerry (Tina) Switzer; a daughter, Lori (Rick) Erwin; ten grandchildren, Kelli (Aaron) Yost, Nathan Blum, Kerry Switzer, Jr., Josh (Alica) Blum, Matthew Switzer, Daniel (Jackie) Switzer, Tim (Amber) Switzer, Aaron (Leo) Switzer-Perez, Justin (Curtis) Rundell, and Ben (Elise) Switzer; twenty great-grandchildren, Noah, Isaac, Jessica, Joshua, Joana, Alexandrea, Levi, Oliver, Declan, Jacob, Shila, Jamie, Jennifer, Jadyn, Kaylyn, Jonathan, Travis, Finley, Jackson, and Sadie; two great-great grandchildren, Brycen and Elaina; a sister, Kay Huff.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 67 years, Truman A. Switzer on January 19, 2021; three brothers, Gene Davis, Tom Davis, Richard Davis; a sister, Shirley McLaughlin.

Friends will be received from 10:00 am to 11:30 am on Wednesday, October 21, 2026 at the Gardinier-Warren Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 am Wednesday at the funeral home with Rev. Arnold Yost officiating. Interment will be made in Fertigs Cemetery.
