Aleta Louise Runninger

Aleta was a member of the East Grove United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir, was a Sunday School Teacher and part of the F.R.O.G. children’s program.

She enjoyed reading her Bible and devotionals and doing things with her friends.  Aleta liked to try different things like latch hook crafting, macrame, etc., anything to keep her busy. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Left to cherish her memory are her children Philip D. Runninger and wife, Cheri, of Norton, OH, David E. Runninger and his wife, Kristen, of New Brighton; her grandchildren Lindsay Angel and husband, Scott, of Marshallville, OH, Adam Runninger and his wife, Victoria, of Cleveland, OH, Noah Runninger of Norton, OH, Ian Runninger and wife, Aly, of Richfield, OH, Matthew Runninger, and his wife, Katelyn, of Northfield, OH, Kierstyn Ippolito and husband, Tarky, of Pittsburgh, Tessa Runninger of New Castle, Alexis Giovanazzi and her husband, Albert, of Decatur, GA, and Kailee Pavlinich of New Brighton; her great grandchildren Everett James Angel, Oliver Lawrence Angel, and Eleanor Lynn Runninger; and her brother Don Lynn and his wife, Barb, of Rocky Grove, and twin sister Anita Shaffer and her husband, Hugh, of Grove City.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Aleta at the East Grove United Methodist Church, 1167 Belmar Road, Franklin, PA on October 31, 2026 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Matt Blake officiating. Funeral arrangements are in the care of Gardinier-Warren Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin, PA 16323.

Aleta will be laid to rest with her husband in Graham Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Aleta’s name to the East Grove Church, 1167 Belmar Road, Franklin, PA 16323.
