Larry A. Nichols, age 69, of Union City, Pennsylvania, passed away on September 30, 2026. Born on March 31, 1957, in Erie, Larry was the beloved son of the late Merrill A. and Beatrice L. Daley Nichols.
Larry attended Union City High School, where he was known for his athleticism, participating in football, cross-country, and wrestling. He later found employment at Union City Chair, where he worked for several years.
A member of the Union City Christian Missionary Alliance, Larry’s contributions to his community were cherished. He was affectionately known as “Moses” around town. Larry had a passion for recording wrestling matches and Fox News, which he enjoyed in the comfort of his home. He held family reunions dear to his heart, showcasing his love for family and connection.
Larry is survived by his daughter, Angel L. Nichols of Union City; four sisters, Jeannie Nichols, Janet Sampson, and Sandra Sampson (Ronnie), all of Union City, and Beatrice Fridley (Jim) of Titusville; as well as aunts Jackie Jones and Helen Rodgers, a special cousin Sam Dyne; a special nephew, Merrill Sampson; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents; a brother-in-law, Charles Sampson; a niece, Janet Sampson; and his best friend, Larry Burton.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date, allowing family and friends to gather in remembrance of Larry’s life and legacy.
