Joseph Anthony Drachslin Sr

Joseph Anthony Drachslin Sr (Toby Joe), 89, of Saegertown left this earthy life on July 13, 2026 in South Carolina .  He was born on December 13, 1936 to the late Joseph Burton Drachslin & Clara Prusinowski Drachslin.

He received his high school diploma from Meadville Area High School.

He was in the Air Force and served stations in Guam during Korea, Greenland, & Oklahoma.

He married the love of his life, Toni Lee Caskey Drachslin on September 29, 1962.

They were members of Saegertown United Methodist Church.

He and his wife had a knife sharpening business.  Each year they would set up a booth to sharpen clipper blades at the Crawford County Fair.  Other jobs he held were a machinist, and school bus driver for Saegertown Area Schools.

He loved hunting and fishing.  He also loved to feed any animals that came around.  He was known to sit for hours on a park bench and hand feed peanuts to squirrels.  He also fed stray cats.

He is preceded in death by his wife and son Charles M Drachslin and his sister Frances K Jones.  Survivors include his son Joseph A Drachslin Jr, daughter-in-law Teresa Taylor Drachslin and grandchildren Marie S Drachslin, Dorothy (Dottie) L Drachslin, & Joseph A Drachslin III.
