Elizabeth (Ellie) Seyler, of Guys Mills, Pennsylvania, passed away on June 2, 2026, at Meadville Medical Center at the age of 23.
Born on October 1, 2002, in Clearfield County, Pennsylvania, ES brought joy and meaning to the lives of those who knew her. Though her life was marked by numerous medical challenges, she faced them with strength and determination, touching the hearts of family, friends, caregivers, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Since the age of 13, Ellie made her home with Jim and Linda DuJardin, where she was surrounded by love, support, and compassionate care. Throughout her life, she touched the lives of many through her resilience, gentle spirit, and the special way she connected with those around her.
Ellie found happiness in life’s simple pleasures. She loved listening to music and spending time with her brother, Jacob, with whom she shared a special bond and unique way of communicating. She especially loved being outdoors in the sunshine. Those who knew her will remember the way her face would light up with a big smile whenever the sun touched her face.
She found comfort and joy basking in its warmth, a reflection of the light she brought into the lives of others.
Ellie is survived by her parents; her brother, Jacob; her sister, Jennifer Riley and her husband, Jared; her sister, Janell Cubitt and her husband, Jeff; and her beloved nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind many friends, caregivers, and loved ones who will cherish her memory.
Although her time on earth was far too short, Elizabeth made a lasting impact on those who knew her. Her courage in the face of life’s challenges, her love of music, and the joy she found in the warmth of the sun will not be forgotten. Her life serves as a reminder that the measure of a life is not in its length, but in the love it shares and the lives it touches.

Ellie brought so much joy to my life the few months I got to spend with her and know her while in foster care! Her smile and love for music always brightened my day each day she was at school. My middle daughter is named after her. I will never forget “Ellie” 💕
