John L. Barton, Jr., age 95, of Union City, PA, passed away peacefully on May 29, 2026. Born on January 2, 1931, in Union City, he was a lifelong resident and a beloved member of the community.

John was the son of John L. Barton, Sr. and Viva Waive Chapin Barton. He was married to Margaret Lindsley, who sadly passed away on October 7, 2016. John later found companionship again and married Beverly Wills on January 8, 2022, who survives him.

Additionally, he is remembered by his sister, Ida Osiek of Barberton, OH, and step-children Joe Davis (Diane), Deb James (Greg), and Lori Coleman (Mark), all of Union City. He also leaves a daughter-in-law, Laura Barton of Union City.

John was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved first wife Margaret, a son William Barton, a grandson Jeremy Melnick, another grandson Isiah Baker, great-grandsons Bryce Melnick, and Michael Bolvin, as well as a daughter-in-law Donna Barton, a son-in-law Mike Baker, and several siblings.
