It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Norma Jean Lasher, who left us on May 3, 2026, at the age of 81. Norma was born on July 18, 1944, in Falls Creek, PA, and spent her life as a loving wife, mother, and friend.
She was the daughter of Thomas and Ida Quinn and married the love of her life, Lawrence A. Lasher, on November 18, 1967. After graduating from Union City High School in 1962, Norma went on to earn her nursing degree from Hamot School of Nursing and worked as a Registered Nurse at Union City Hospital, where she touched many lives.
Norma was a dedicated member of Parade Street United Methodist Church and filled her days with the things she loved – playing Bingo, solving puzzles, watching birds and nature, shopping, fishing, and cooking delicious meals for her family and friends. She was the heart of her family, always making sure everyone was taken care of, spending her life as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.
Norma is survived by her husband, Larry, and her sons, Eric (Cecelia) Lasher of Union City and Kevin (Donette) Lasher of York, PA. She also leaves behind a daughter-in-law, Crystal Lasher of Brookville, OH, and a wonderful brood of grandchildren: Brittany Rauch (Michael), Derek Lasher (Hannah), Dylan Lasher, Cameron Lasher, Ryker Lasher, Alexis Lasher (James Varnier), Christian Lasher, Catharine Lasher, and Caroline Lasher. She will be missed by her great-grandchildren, Miller Rauch and Jackson Lasher, as well as her sisters-in-law, Wilma and Darlene Lasher.
Norma was preceded in death by her parents, her son Joseph Lasher, two sisters Louise Ward (Roy) and Geraldine Salmon, along with brothers-in-law Al Lasher and Norman Lasher (Vicky). If any family was forgotten the family would like to apologize in advance.
In honor of Norma’s memory, calling hours will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Warren-Glenn Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., located at 62 S. Main Street, Union City. A funeral service celebrating her life will follow at 3:00 PM, led by Pastor Stacie D. Shchouchkoff. A private burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery in Union City.
