Jerry E. Bailey, 71, of Union City, passed away peacefully at home on April 1, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on September 18, 1954, in Meadville, Pennsylvania, to Willard H. Bailey and Betty R. Peters Bailey. Jerry married the love of his life, Denise S. Mosher, on July 19, 1975.
A 1973 graduate of Union City High School, Jerry worked as a welder at General Electric for over 20 years. He was passionate about bowling, fishing, and hunting, and he spent five wonderful years playing softball in a local league. Family meant everything to Jerry, and he cherished every moment spent with loved ones.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Denise Bailey, and their three children: Betty J. Dean (Izzy) of Union City, Mike Bailey (Jimmy) of Corry, and Amanda L. Bailey (Abdel) of Erie. He also leaves behind several grandchildren who adored him: Karlie Resser (Matt) of Pittsburgh, Payge Bailey of Union City, Rylyn Bailey (Chazz), Max Bailey, Liam, and Hayden Dean of Union City, and Annie Gool from Erie, along with great-grandchildren Olyver, Brailee, Hudson, and Rowen Jewell, all of Corry, as well as Tyler Resser and a baby Resser on the way in Pittsburgh. Jerry is also survived by his brother, David Beardsley (Carmen) of Florida, and many cherished nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, and four sisters.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 4:00 PM at Warren-Glenn Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., located at 62 S. Main Street, Union City.
