Blanche Mae Conklin, 96, of Union City, will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She passed away peacefully on December 19, 2025, at Corry Manor. Born on November 6, 1929, in Union City to Warren and Mary Fitch Morton.
Blanche was married to Glenn E. Conklin until his passing in 1984. Over the years, she worked at MFG of Union City and later retired from Union City Chair Company. A dedicated member of Temple Baptist Church, she found joy in faith and community. Blanche had a passion for taking walks, crocheting, and knitting, and she loved attending tractor pulls. The holiday season, especially Christmas, held a special place in her heart, and she delighted in making cookies and candy to share with family and friends.
Blanche leaves behind a loving family, including three daughters: Sue Lowther (John), Lois Hayes, and Brenda Glover (Bob), all from Union City. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Sue Conklin of Union City, and a close friend, Virgil Estes from Canadohta Lake, along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and several great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons Phillip Conklin, Sr. and Glenn “Rocky” Conklin, a daughter Teresa Conklin, a son-in-law (Dan Hayes), and her siblings.
Friends and family will gather to celebrate Blanche’s life on Tuesday, December 23, 2025. There will be visiting hours from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Warren-Glenn Funeral Home and Cremation Services, located at 62 S. Main Street in Union City. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM, officiated by Pastor Sam Villars.
Blanche will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery in Union City.
