It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Donald E. Williams, 74, who left us on November 29, 2025, at his home in Meadville, PA. Born on May 11, 1951, in Buffalo, NY, Donald was a familiar face in the Meadville community.
A proud graduate of Meadville Area High School in 1969, Donald spent an impressive 34 years as a store manager at Country Fair, followed by 12 years at Walmart. His commitment to his work was just one of the many ways he contributed to the community. Donald was also a life member of the Meadville Rescue Squad, where he held various leadership positions, including President, Vice President, and Treasurer. He loved watching his grandchildren compete in sporting events. In his downtime, he could be found soaking up the sun at the pool or on a fishing adventure.
Donald is survived by his loving family: his daughter, Angela M. Williams (Robert Devore) and his son, Donald E. Williams III (Molly) of Cranesville. He was a proud grandfather to Jack and Madeline Williams, and leaves behind four brothers: Bob (Debra) of Alabama, Tom (Alicia) of Cochranton, Jack of South Carolina, and Mark (Orpha) of South Carolina.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald H. Williams and Ruth E. Breisch Williams; an infant brother, Michael; and a niece, Kelly Williams.
At this time, there will be no formal services held. He will be laid to rest at Greendale Cemetery in Meadville.
In honor of Donald, we encourage those who wish to make a contribution to consider donating to St. Jude Hospitals for Children at www.stjude.org.
