Patsy J. Cheers, 96, of Franklin passed away on October 6, 2025 at Oakwood Heights Village, Oil City, with her family at her side.

Born on February 27, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Richard C. and Dessie Ball Graham.

Patsy was a graduate of Sandy Lake High School.

On November 22, 1947, she married the love of her life, Frank L. Cheers. He preceded her in death on April 13, 1991.

In September of 1958, she began her career as head of the cafeteria in the new Cooperstown Elementary when it opened. Her dedication in the cafeteria spanned 35 years when she retired in 1993.

She attended Cooperstown United Methodist Church for many years.

Patsy enjoyed playing cards and was a member of various card clubs. After retirement, she enjoyed crocheting and sewing. In her younger years, she loved to travel with her family. Most of all, her family was her world. She spoiled everyone every chance she got.

Left to cherish her memories are her children, Donald D. Cheers and his wife, Nora, of Franklin, Neil E. Cheers of Polk, and Bessie Nolf and her husband, Tony, of Franklin; her 10 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 12 great great grandchildren. She is further survived by her siblings, James Graham of Bellville, OH and Nancy DiFranco of Chardon, OH and her daughter-in-law Ann Cheers Rodgers of Emlenton.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son Dick Cheers and her sisters Dessie Ann Armstrong and Rebecca Owens.

Guests are invited to Gardinier-Warren Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin on Thursday, October 9th from 3 pm – 6 pm with funeral services for Patsy held immediately after visitation at 6 pm with Pastor David McVay, pastor of Cooperstown United Methodist Church, officiating.

Patsy will be laid to rest next to her husband in Sunset Hill Memorial Garden, Franklin.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made in Patsy’s memory to Cooperstown United Methodist Church, PO Box 216, Cooperstown, PA 16317.
