Kenneth Lee Moorehead, 83, of Oil City, is now at peace after passing away on Thursday, October 2, 2025, at UPMC Presbyterian in Pittsburgh. Born on November 4, 1941, in St. Louis, Michigan, Ken was the son of Kenneth Leroy and Florence Good Moorehead.

He married the love of his life, Mary Lou Kurtich, on June 9, 1962, and together they built a beautiful life filled with love and laughter. Ken graduated from Cranberry High School in 1959 and proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1961 to 1967, where he earned the Good Conduct Medal and National Defense Service Medal.

For most of his career, Ken worked at U.S. Steel in the Oil Well Division, later moving on to Tri-County Pest Control. He was known for his strong Christian faith and devotion to his love for Jesus. He read his bible daily and also had a knack for building puzzles and doing word searches. He also loved spending time watching wrestling, action movies and hitting up yard sales with his buddy, Jack.

Above all, Ken was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great grandfather. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 63 years, Mary Lou, and their son, Michael J. Moorehead (Susan) of Erie, along with two daughters, Vikki R. Krug (Daren) of Franklin and Sue C. Brink (Randy) of Sparks, Nevada. He was a proud grandpa to Beth Hull (Dan) of Titusville, Florida; Jessica Shea (Justin) of Sharpsville; Randy Moorehead (Tonya) of Seneca; Lauren Winarski (Matt) of Mogadore, Ohio; Tyler Beadlescomb (Amanda) of Indianapolis, Indiana; and Sara Zerger(Zach) of Wylie, TX. He also cherished his ten great-grandchildren, with another on the way, as well as one great-great-granddaughter.

Ken is survived by his sisters, Mary Campbell of Meadville, Margie Foust of Venus, and Brenda Warner (Doug) of Cranberry, and his brother Mark Moorehead (Liane) of Benezette. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Scott and Eric.
