Robert N. Miller, 65, of Espyville, PA, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 7, 2025. Born on February 21, 1960, in Ashtabula, Ohio, Robert was the son of Robert H. and Ruth Cottle Miller. He was a 1978 graduate of Ashtabula High School where he also attended Vo-Ed. He continued his education at ETI in Niles, Ohio specializing in electronics. He was a devoted family man, loving father, and a hardworker being employed with Contract Telephone for 20 years and being a respected over the road truck driver for 20 years. Both professions allowed him to see the entire country from coast to coast.

Robert married Valarie J. Johnson on March 17, 1979, and they shared many wonderful years together until Valarie’s passing on December 20, 2017. A skilled woodworker, Robert found joy in creating beautiful pieces and cherished every moment spent with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed being outside caring for his yard and was know to love good conversation with anyone he was near.

He is survived by his three daughters: Alice J. Cole and her husband Robert of Harmonsburg, Melissa R. Miller and her companion Will Aley of Hermitage, and Krista L. Roberts and her companion Tim Willey of Meadville. His legacy continues with his beloved grandchildren: Brandon Garvin, McKayla Roberts, George Cole, Walker Cole, and Neal Roberts. He also leaves behind his sister, Barbara Milano (Dale) of Ashtabula, Ohio, and brother-in-law Jeff Dennison of Ashtabula.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Valarie, and his sister Kathy Dennison.

Family and friends are invited to call on Monday, August 11th from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at Ryan M. Warren Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 544 Chestnut Street, Meadville.

In lieu for flowers, memorial donations may be made in in Robert’s memory to the National Kidney Foundation (www.kidney.org) or Shriners Hospitals for Children (www.shrinerschildrens.org)

  6. sorry to hear bob & i went to joint vocational school helped him & Val get their cdl license our girls would have manure throwing contest when they were supposed to be cleaning barn save me a spot up there!

  7. Dear cousin Robert. I’m so sad to hear of your passing. When you see all our family in heaven give everyone hugs. I’m so glad I was able to sit beside you and talk to you at barb’s party a few years ago. We hadn’t seen each other in years and we talked the evening away. We had a lot of catching up. Every once in awhile tell the family to send us a signal from heaven saying hello. We will send in the mail a donation in your name to one of your requests. Love Linda and Dennis
