Resided in: Union City, Pennsylvania

Reginald “Reggie” A. Smith, 62, of Union City, PA, peacefully passed away on July 28, 2025, at his home. Born on February 1, 1963, in Union City to Orville K. Smith and Martha D. Lasher Smith, Reggie was a friendly face around town, known to many.

A proud graduate of Union City High School in 1983, he spent his working years at MFG and Union Milling, in addition to mowing lawns for folks in the area. Reggie’s faith was important to him; he was a longtime member of the Free Methodist Church and more recently joined the Union City Church of the Nazarene, where he enjoyed participating in the praise band and sharing his love for music.

Reggie had a passion for the outdoors, particularly fishing and baseball, and he loved to sing his heart out. He had an easygoing charm that left an impression on everyone he met.

He is survived by his sisters, Jessica R. Olmstead (Quentin) of Kennedy, NY, and Jenni R. Smith of Rochester, NY; brothers Rodney C. Smith Sr. of Albion, Randy P. Smith (Jean) of Union City, and Jeremy O. Smith of Union City; along with his cherished nieces and nephews: Rodney C. Smith Jr., Conner A. Olmstead, Renea M. Waychoff, Ashley L. Helmbold, Olivia O. Olmstead, and Jazmin M. Smith. He also leaves behind great-nephews Alex J. Smith, Wesley A. “Train” Olmstead, Dante L. Waychoff, Rogue Helmbold, and Ace Helmbold, and great-nieces Raelynn Olmstead, Ember Wright, and Ariella Miller.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a niece, Gracie Olmstead.

Reggie will be honored at calling hours this Sunday, August 3rd, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Union City Church of the Nazarene, located at 119 S. Main Street, Union City. The funeral service will follow, with Pastor George Tutor officiating. A private burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery in Union City.
