Dennis "Demo" Riley

Dennis “Demo” Riley, 69, of Polk passed away on April 25, 2025 with his wife at his side.

Born on August 13, 1955 in Johnstown, PA  to the late Cletus and Ruth (Burkhardt) Riley.

Denny had a good sense of humor and helped anyone that needed it.  He had a passion for music and enjoyed listening to classic rock and roll.  He liked music so much, he was a drummer in a local band where he grew up.  You would often find him riding his motorcycle or checking out fast cars. His family was very special to him and he enjoyed spoiling his grandkids.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 23 years, Kathy (Carolus) Riley of Polk; his children Dana Yost of Johnstown, PA, Jessica Eash and her companion, Raff Figueira, of Panama City, FL, Melissa Riley of Johnstown, PA, Nicole Smith and her husband, Will, of Vaucaville, CA, Joshua Riley of Johnstown, PA, John Mejia, Jr. and his wife, Stephanie, of Orlando, FL, Brian Mejia of Springfield, MA, Matthew Mejia and his companion (Dayna) of Oil City, PA, and Ashly Penn and her husband, Brandon, of Erie, PA; his 15 grandchildren; his 2 great-grandchildren; and his brothers Ron Riley, Jerry Riley and his wife, Diane, and Ray Riley and his wife, Renee, all of Johnstown, PA.

Guests are invited to the Gardinier-Warren Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin, PA  on Thursday, May 1st from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm where they can share memories with family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Denny’s memory to American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 7023, Merrifield, VA  22116-7023.
