Mary A. Collins, 87, of Franklin passed away on April 6, 2025 with her family at her side.

Born in Clarion County on August 21, 1937 to the late Harold B. Hamilton and Elizabeth (Greggs) Murray.

On February 22, 1959, she married the love of her life, Nolan B. Collins, and he preceded her in death on March 28, 1978.

She was a member of Franklin Wesleyan Methodist Church and a life member of the Franklin VFW Jesse Greer post 1834.

She was very fond of Elvis Presley’s music and enjoyed keeping up with family and friends on Facebook.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Eric Collins and his wife, Becky, of Franklin, Timothy Collins of Franklin, Sharon Byler and her husband, Levi, of Franklin, and Cheryl Collins of New York; her grandchildren David Collins, Dennis Graham, Misty Grandelis, Jeffrey Whitman, Scott Kahle, Hogan Kahle, Daniel Kahle, Zachery Kahle, Natanya Bly, Trevor Collins, Sara Timon; her many great grandchildren; and her sister D. Jean Hamilton of Franklin.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her daughters, Rochelle Timon and Michelle Kahle; her son, Bruce Collins; her granddaughter LaToshia Collins; and her siblings Harold Hamilton and Mabel Cutchall.

Guests will be received at the Gardinier-Warren Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin on Friday, April 11th from 5pm to 7pm with funeral services for Mary being held immediately following at 7 pm with Pastor Jonathan Bell, pastor of Franklin Wesleyan Methodist Church, officiating.

Mary will be laid to rest next to her husband at Heckathorn Cemetery, Seneca.

  2. Mary was the sweetest lady I have ever known in my lifetime. Dad & Nolan were friends since teenagers, so we got to go visit alot as kids since they continued their friendship into later life. I always enjoyed talking to Mary. Over the years I lost contact with her & I sadly regret that I couldn’t find her. My very deepest heartfelt condolences and prayers & sympathy to her children and their families. Heaven gained a beautiful lady. R.I.P. Mary you was loved by another kid Debbie.
