Marjorie Lou Hawley

June 3, 1937 ~ March 28, 2025

Marjorie Lou Hawley, 87, of Union City, will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She passed away peacefully on March 28, 2025, at Corry Manor. Born on June 3, 1937, in Union City, she was the daughter of Herbert and Frances Lindsley.

Marjorie was a loving wife to Paul Hawley, whom she married on August 2, 1958. Sadly, Paul passed away on March 9, 2001. Marjorie dedicated her life to caring for others as a nurse’s aid at Union City Hospital, and she also worked in the cafeteria at Union City High School and retired from Union City Chair Company.

A proud 1955 graduate of Union City High School, Marjorie enjoyed the simple things in life – she loved reading, baking, gardening, and spending time with family and friends. She had a soft spot for elephants and roosters and always brightened a room with her favorite color: yellow.

Marjorie leaves behind her two daughters, Colleen Donovan and her husband James of Union City, and Beth Stroup and her husband Ron of Spring Creek. She is also survived by her stepdaughter, Linda Bryant and her husband Jack of Union City, twenty-two grandchildren, seventy-one great-grandchildren, and eleven great-great-grandchildren. She is further survived by her three sisters, Mary Kimmy of Union City, Barb Trantham of Georgia, and June Wojtecki of Corry, and her brother, Paul Lindsley of Erie.

She will be joining her beloved husband Paul, along with her three children—Paul Jr., Craig, and Mark—in resting. Marjorie is also preceded in death by her siblings Ida, Helen, Peg, Martha, and Victor, as well as her stepson Danny Hawley, step-granddaughter Lilly Carr, and step-great-grandson Bryce Wright.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Marjorie’s life at Warren-Glenn Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. located at 62 S. Main Street in Union City. The visitation will take place on Monday, March 31st, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A private burial will be held at Evergreen Cemetery in Union City.

Please take a moment to share a memory or condolence with the family on Marjorie’s Book of Memories online at www.WarrenGlennFH.com.
