  1. Bea, was a one of a kind lady. She was a patient where I worked. She made a bear from an old fur of my mothers and when my first grand baby was born she made him a bear and the extra special thing was, she told me this was the last one she would ever make. She will be missed, but I will have this fur bear to remind me of my mother and Bea.
    Rest in peace, Bea.

  2. Bea was such a special lady. I first had the privilege of meeting her when I worked at Franklin Animal Clinic. I later found out that she lived in the same building as my mom. She enjoyed playing bingo at the high with the other residents. I always enjoyed her wonderful cookies. I am so blessed and privileged to have none Bea. Fly high beautiful angel ❤️

  3. Sorry to hear about Bea — aka “human mother of Tippy.” Met Bea and Tippy when they lived at Crestview Apartments. Always a good visit, both at Crestview and then Franklin, and, later after covid, good phone calls. In fact, the last time I talked to her, which was just a few weeks ago, she sounded good, as usual. May she rest in peace. She lived a good life.

  4. I will miss my Aunt Bea, she was a dear person and fiercely independent. She always said the secret to her good health and long life was swimming but I also think it was because she took such a keen interest in people and had great curiosity about all sorts of people and events , she was a very kind person. She was a wealth of information, I thought of her as our family historian. I always learned something new about our family or our local history when visiting with her and I will miss those visits, she was my last elder. Bea was an impressive cook and was especially known for her delicious cookies. She enjoyed a good laugh. I will always remember the generous smile she greeted everyone with as though you just made her day to be there.

  5. We are so saddened to hear of Bea’s passing. She was a wonderful, loving & kindhearted woman that we were privileged to call a friend. When my mother got sick she gave her one of her bears and then when my mother passed, she made a bear for myself and my sister out of my mother’s favorite pajamas. My husband met her thru his work and they became close friends. Bea would bake him cookies almost every week up until her health got worse, he loved her cookies! She had a heart of gold and we
will never forget her. Rest in peace Bea, you will be missed but not forgotten.

  6. Bea was our neighbor when she lived in Dempseytown. She really enjoyed having our grankids visit her. She taught them how to make homemade applesauce. She and Glenn ( the mayor) as we called him couldn’t have been better neighbors. She is now reunited with her husband. Prayers to her family. May you find comfort in your memories.

  8. Bea was such a joy always could brighten a room with her smile. Had many good visits with her when delivering her lunches, she always said our lunches were so tasty. Got the privilege to celebrate 2 birthdays with her and hear all her great stories of her growing up picking apples on her family’s farm.

  9. Bea and Glenn (Grandma and Grandpa T) were both such amazing people and we’ll never forget all the fun we had with them (and Brian) at the River Ranch Resort – always felt like home in the middle of Florida because of how welcome they made us feel. We’d roll in, drive around in their golf cart, eat some great food (along with a few cold beers), go to the rodeo, dance to country music at the cowboy bar… such great memories! Bea and Glenn helped bring us together 30 years ago – if it wasn’t for them, we may have never been married. We are so very grateful to have known her (them) and are so happy she lived such a long, full life. The world is a better place because of Bea – rest in peace.

  10. My sympathy to all of the family. I enjoyed knowing Bea – she was a great Dempseytown lady! I think the last time I saw her was a few years ago at one of the firehall dinners. she called me over and we chatted. I remember her great smile and happy attitude. 102 years! Wow! I hope your good memories will give you comfort. Kathy Plyler

  11. Family and Friends of Bea.

May God comfort and support you in the time of your loss. Our prayers and thoughts are with you.

“Let not your heart be troubled; ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions. If it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.” John 14: 1 -3

Bea was a dear friend and it was certainly a pleasure to know and love her. She made it easy! When she joined Christ United Methodist Church, she asked me (Lou) to walk down with her to the ceremony. It was my pleasure and a lifetime memory.

I look forward to the day when I will see her again in heaven.

She will remain in our hearts and thoughts forever.

May God Bless and Keep You,

    Lou, Susan and Bethany Slautterback

  12. Bea was my 4-H leader and a family friend. She made a doll cake for my 8th birthday. We visited with her and Glenn for 4-H things. I was so happy when she started at my church and that she remembered me. She made an impression on my life and she will be missed.

  13. Bea was my 1st 4H leader.
I still have my baking cookbook.
She was such a pleasant lady. Remembering going to pick apples at their orchard.
