William L. Montgomery

William L. Montgomery, age 76 of Meadville died on Monday, June 17, 2024 at Pleasant Ridge Manor in Girard, PA. Born on August 23, 1947, he was the son of Harold V. and Kathryn M. Sterling Montgomery. Mr. Montgomery married the former Helen P. “Pat” Brown on June 21, 1971.

He was employed as District Sales Manager by the Voortman Cookie Company prior to his retirement in 2015. William was a member of St. Agatha Roman Catholic Church in Meadville.

Surviving is his wife, Helen P. “Pat” Brown; a son, Marc Montgomery of Meadville; a daughter, Jennifer Gray and her husband Dustin of Girard; four grandchildren, Sophia and Collin Montgomery, both of Youngsville, PA, Kadyn Talmadge and Haily Gray, both of Girard; a great-granddaughter, Malani Talmadge of Girard; two brothers, Robert Montgomery of Oil City and Thomas Montgomery of Pittsburgh.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Harold “Nern” Montgomery, Jr. and James E. Montgomery.

Services for Mr. Montgomery will be private and are being handled by the Ryan M. Warren Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 544 Chestnut Street, Meadville, PA 16335.
