Mr. Bernard "Bernie" F. Propheter, 85, of Townville passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. Bernie was born on August 28, 1938 in Titusville, PA to the late George and Hazel (Goodwill) Propheter. After attending St. Titus schools, he worked for Queen Cutlery in Titusville, PA for 19 years before working at and retiring from Penncrest School District after 20 years of service. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, spending time with his family, especially those that called him "Papa Bernie" and his family pets, Diego, Lola & Ruger. He was a member of the American Legion, VFW Bruce Shorts Post, the Corry Central Labor Club and Titusville Moose Lodge 84. Bernie is survived by his loving daughter Tammy Hollabaugh and her husband, Brian, of Townville; his son-in-law Larry Lewis of Corry; his grandchildren Sierra Burek and her husband, Mark, of Union City, Kayla Leskovic and her husband, Jason, of Townville, Brian Hollabaugh and his companion, Dawnielle Hinkle, of Guys Mills, and Shannon Fay; his twelve great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter. He is further survived by several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Debbie Lewis; his sisters Virginia Wright, Marie Manross and Jean Propheter; his brothers George Propheter, Jr, Howard Propheter, Sr, and Richard Propheter. A Celebration of Bernie's life will be held at the Titusville Moose Lodge 84, 614 West Central Avenue, Titusville, PA on October 15th, 2023 at 1:00 pm. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to Dr. Richard Whalen's OVIMA staff for their amazing care over the years as well as Hospice of Crawford County. Memorial Contributions can be made in Bernie's name to Hospice of Crawford County, 766 Liberty Street, Meadville, PA 16335.   1. Bernie was an awesome guy always smiling 😄 and loved having a beer with him, definitely going to miss him. R.I.P. my friend.

  2. Sending hugs and prayers to the family and friends of Bernie. Bobby and I met Bernie 9 years ago when we moved to Pleasantville. We would stop into the VFW and shoot pool. I will always remember his infamous words “rack em” We will hold on to those memories and think of him when we shoot pool. Greatful to have known him. Thanks for the hugs and the good times.
