  1. Peter is my Petro cousin. I was close to Peter growing up he had a great sense of humor, like his father. We both loved science and medicine. When he went to med school, he mentored me as I was thinking of the same, but did grad school in chem instead. We had wonderful times at cape cod in those early days. Love you Peter ❤️❤️

  2. Dr. Thompson was a fantastic doctor. My Grandparents loved him. Sending condolences to family. You are in our prayers.🙏🙏🙏

  3. Dear All,
So very sorry for your loss. Dr. T was a great physician. He always had a smile and kind word for everyone. It was an honor and pleasure to work with him at Franklin, NW Medical Center and NW in Seneca.
    Thinking of you
    Sincerely, Tammera Duda

  4. It was an honor to have worked with Dr. Thompson at Franklin Hospital. He was wonderful, not only with his patients, but with the staff. He also served as my PCP and as my mother’s PCP for many years, so I’m sharing this memory, not only as my perspective as an RN and co-worker, but to say thank you for all the wonderful care and concern for my mom, Dorothy Webb, during her years of declining health. Fly high with the angels, Dr. T, and all the “magoos” that have gone on before you. My sincerest condolences to the family. May God comfort you at this time of loss.
    Kathy Webb-O’Neil Myers

  5. I could write an entire book about Pete! I’ll keep this short though. I’m not sure going to Eat N Park will ever be the same! How will I get to my seat without stopping at each table because everyone knew Pete and made sure to say hello, to which he, naturally, found out how each of them were. Then when finally reaching our table my mom would ask who that one was or that one?? Once in a while he would say something about one of them but in most cases his answer was, “I don’t know?” Lol!! That’s the kind of impression he left on anyone who crossed paths with him. I just hope he knows how great of a father figure he was to me!!

  6. As fine a soul and gifted physician as we have ever known, and worked with. Kind, compassionate and always with an infectious smile. We will miss you Pete. Anna and John Karian

Pete was a dedicated and caring man. His service to the Franklin community was outstanding .

To worship with Pete and Kathy was an encouraging and uplifting experience. We treasure the moments spent together at Christ United Methodist Church. He was always available and supportive our faith walk.

“Let not your heart be troubled; ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions. If it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.” John 14: 1 -3

    God Bless and Keep You,

    Lou, Susan and Bethany Slautterback

  9. Peter and I grew up together from elementary school right through high school. We played together a lot, the Thompsons and the Zieglers. We always felt like family, especially Pete and I. We were the same age, in the same grade and shared many interests. Peter had type one diabetes and I remember walking with him one time when he had a seizure. During high school, he would most often come to lunch at our house since we had moved right next to the high school and he could more easily control his blood sugar with my mother cooking instead of eating at the cafeteria. My father was the town family practitioner- school doctor, first aid, local nursing home etc. Both Peter and I went into medicine as did my older brother. My sister married a dentist and they lived in New Castle Pennsylvania for years. I wish we could have kept in touch. I certainly would have loved visiting with him., if I had known he was so close. He was a wonderful man! God bless you as you say good bye. Henry
