Meryle Allen Moodie, 66, formerly of Polk, passed away on April 29, 2024 in Ebensburg, PA.
Born on June 14, 1957 in Berea, Ohio, he was the son of the late Harold A. and Anne Marie (Ford) Moodie.
Meryle was very easy going, laid back and quiet, and was known for his great smile and wonderful belly laugh and a giggle that was very contagious. He was a joy to be around and was always so sweet. He enjoyed sensory communications and activities with the staff at Polk and Ebensburg, any activity in the pool, walking, music, and snacks (especially Hershey Kisses).
He also enjoyed going to the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses with his sister and would always light up as soon as he saw her. He was a joy to be around and was always so sweet. In his younger years, he loved to spend as many days as he could with his family before returning to his home at Polk Center.
Left to cherish his memory are his brothers, Fredrick Moodie of Fort Myers, Florida, Ramas Moodie and his wife, Arlene, of Ft. Meyers, Florida, and Samuel Moodie and his wife, Joy, of Bradenton, Florida; his sisters, Linnet Housley and her husband, Tim Williams, of Tampa, Florida and Marla Zischkau and her husband, Barry, of Franklin; his aunts Ida Simpson, Claudia Cajel, Janice Montoya, and Joyce Taylor all of Ohio; his uncles, Tommy Ford of California and Richard Ford of Ohio; and his many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to his parents, Meryle was was preceded in death by his brother, Scott Moodie; his uncles, Woodrow Ford, Hezekiah Ford, Eddie Ford, and Earl Ford; and his aunts, Ethel Norris, Mae Graham, and Bernice Tolbert.
Family and friends may visit the Gardinier-Warren Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin, Pennsylvania on Sunday, May 19, 2024 from 2 pm to 3 pm. Funeral services for Meryle will be held the same day at the funeral home at 3:00 pm with Elder Klint Konyha of the Franklin Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses officiating.
Meryle will be laid to rest at Sunset Hill Memorial Gardens, Franklin, Pennsylvania.
