Sincere sympathy to all. Jerry was a great guy and I always enjoyed the conversation. May you Rest in Peace.
I will miss knowing no matter what, you will guide me and give me advice when I ask. Knowing that you are always near giving me a sense of security.
I will miss the way you showed me to be the best I can be. Because of your example.
I never really thought I would see you go. To me you were my superhero. I know you have not gone far away. Your love lives inside me every day.
I love you Daddy,
Leanne
As a kid I was intimidated by Jerry – a big man who could be gruff and serious. It took me a while to figure out that he was one of the nicest and friendliest guys I’d ever meet. I’ll always have fond memories of hunting with him and the rest of the Boughner boys, and how he was a good and cherished friend to my mom and dad.
Ruth Anne, Leanne and Lauren, and Wes and By and Dick and everyone in the family – please know I grieve with you…but I’m also smiling at those memories.
Leanne and family,
Please accept our deepest condolences for the loss of your Father.

We are fortunate to live in a community where so many are willing to serve their fellow citizens. The Boughner family are on another level. From “Big Papa” to Ruthie, Jerry Jr. and Leanne, their combined service in fire, rescue and emergency services is unparalleled in my humble opinion, and Big Jerry set the standard that many will find hard to follow.
