Beverly A. Stone Monroe, 85, formerly of Union City, passed away, Friday, March 17, 2023 in Moyock, North Carolina. She was born on April 17, 1937 in Union City, a daughter of Daniel Stone and Helen R. Bisbee Stone. She married Donald L. Monroe on June 17, 1955. He preceded her in death on August 13, 2020.
Beverly was a member of the Union City Fire Department and the Union City First United Methodist Church. She was retired from Cross Construction. She enjoyed camping, going for walks, reading, and doing puzzles.
She is survived by two daughters, Roxanne Saloum and her husband Jim of North Carolina and Dawn Gaines and her husband Ron of South Carolina; a son, Daniel Monroe and his wife Carol of Union City; grandchildren, Angie Chundrlek, Nathan Chundrlek, Melissa Hull, Matthew Monroe, Michael Monroe, Bobbi Jo Stowe, Abigail Gaines, Joshua Gaines, Justin Gaines, and Brian Gaines; numerous great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Karen Enterline and her husband George of Punxsutawney; sister-in-law Susie Fox and her husband Paul of North Carolina; cousin Linda Woods and her husband Dave of Florida; cousin Ricky Bisbee and his wife Carol of Arizona; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a great-granddaughter, Kirsten Monroe; her brothers Neil and Russell Stone; and a sister-in-law, Janet Stone.
Family and friends are welcome to attend a memorial service on April 22nd at 1:00pm at Union City First United Methodist Church, 42 E. High Street, Union City, with Pastor Lea Guiney, officiating.
Burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, Union City.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Beverly's memory to St. Jude Children's Hospital (www.stjude.org).

When we went to and seen Grave Digger the monter truck.
Danny, Dawn and Roxanne I love you very much and my memories of your mom go from when she babysat me to her being like a sister to me. We did everything together I will miss her so much. Linda
Bev was a very special person and a very good friend. I will always cherish the memories I made with her at Manley Heights.
