Judith A. Deets

Judith A. Deets, 83, of Cochranton, passed away, Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at Meadville Medical Center. She was born on July 24, 1938 in Meadville, a daughter of Ermell Nevin Stallard and Estella Pauline Boyles Stallard. She married Robert M. Deets on June 1, 1956. He preceded her in death on March 15, 1991.
She was a graduate of Meadville High School, member of Milledgeville Presbyterian Church, and was involved with Meals on Wheels, Girl Scout's for many years, and part of the Cochranton High School Band Boosters.
In her free time she enjoyed quilting, embroidery, crocheting, traveling, cooking, playing games of all kinds, and was an avid reader.
Judy had a very giving heart and was a supporter of numerous charities over the years.
She is survived by two daughters, Michelle "Mickey" Blackmore and her husband Robert of North Pole, Alaska and Melanie "Molly" Eccles and her husband David of Cochranton; a son, Robert M. Deets II and his wife Maira of Cochranton; seven grandchildren, Tristan Deets and his wife Shannon of Meadville, Ian Michael Richter of Arizona, Aubrey VanVliet of Philadelphia, Ariel Irene Jordon of Meadville, Alexa Elyse Anderson of Salcha, Alaska, Robert M. Deets III and his wife Brenda of El Paso, Texas, and Thomas C. Deets of Cochranton; eleven great grandchildren; two brothers, William Stallard and his wife Mary of California; and Russell Craig of Meadville; two brother in laws, John Deets of Meadville and William Deets and his wife Kathy of Meadville.
In addition to her loving husband; she was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters in laws, Karen R. Deets and Lynn Craig.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, March 1st from 4:30pm to 7:30pm at 191 South Franklin Street, Cochranton.

We are so very sad to hear of Judy’s passing. She will always be remembered for her kindness to others & her infectious smile. Due to circumstances beyond our control, we cannot make it to the Celebration of Judy’s life, but we will be thinking of her family & friends.
