John L. Hart, 63, of 84 Wood Road , Franklin, died at 7:30 PM , July 1, 2013 at his residence. Born September 16, 1949 in Franklin, PA, John was the son of the late Audley and Margaret E. (Cummings) Hart. John proudly served his country in the Army during the Vietnam Era earning an Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal and a National Defense Service Medal. John retired from JM Manufacturing after 35 years. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 328, the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge 83, and the VFW Jesse Greer Post 1835. John enjoyed golfing, hunting, and especially spending time with his family and friends. John is survived by his brothers, Richard Hart of Clarendon, James Hart of Cooperstown and his wife, Jeanette, of Geneva, and Joseph Hart and his wife, Tina, of Franklin; his sister, Cheryl Casias of Franklin; his nephews, Curtis Casias and his wife, Debbie, Craig Casias and his wife Marsha, Jay Casias, Joseph Hart Jr. and his wife, Robin, Eric Hart and his fiance, Heather, and Matt Wyatt; his nieces, Jenna, Riley, and Kelsey Hart; his great-nephews and great-nieces, Craig, Marrisa, Brandon, Kyla, Davin, Ethan, Brian, and Austin; and additional step-great-nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents. Friends will be received at the Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin, on Friday, July 5th, 2013, from 3:00PM - 7:00PM. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 6th, 2013 at Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc., with Rev. Jonathan Bell pastor of the Franklin Wesleyan Methodist Church, officiating. Military honors will be accorded by the V.E.T.S. Honor Guard. Interment will be in Cemetery of the Alleghenies. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Moose Charities, 221 13th Street, Franklin, PA 16323.
