Pappy, you were always my friend, confidant and mentor. For all of the times you had my back there is no way to count. Very few people in this world would have been there and helped me get back up, you were and never asked for anything in return. Thank you for all of the great times. I know heaven gained another guardian angel when you went home. I hope Phil was there to greet you as you entered the gates. Fly high and be free my friend, and thanks for the memories! Love you Pap!!
My deepest sympathy to the family. pappy was a very kind person, i remember him as very pleasant, he used to come to the jail clinic where Doris and i worked always a smile on his face. He will truly be missed May our loving God send his arms to comfort you and know that one day you will be united again in Heaven. Mona Graves
Bruce, it was an honor to have worked with you and be a friend.. You helped me more than you can know when I was first starting out at the SO, especially with firearm qualifications. RIP brother.
Bruce was a kind loving man. Being as laid back as he was made him a great officer. He was my mentor. When I was working as an officer I learned more from him and Gordon then anyone else there. Pappy you were a TRUE friend. I am going to miss you so much. Heaven has gained one of the best!
Our condolences to the family. Bruce was a very gentle, giving, and loving man. His heart and home was always open to people. Rest in peace, Bruce. Thanks for being our friend. Jim n Carolyn Baughman

Pappy , you will be missed. You were a true law Enforcement professional. You gave me advice as a young Deputy and inspired me during my career. A true icon in Portage county. Rest In Peace
Pappy, you were a wonderful teacher, an ornery & amazing character, & just one heck of a man. we are so very thankful for your instruction in firearms, your sense of humor & enjoying the music, meals at a shared table, quiet (& not-so-quiet) times sitting up way too late out by the fire, & being allowed to be a part of family time with you at the cabin. Much Love & Safe Journeys to You. <3

Bruce (Pappy) will be missed very much. He was family to us. He and Jack worked many years together in Law Enforcement. They hunted together and worked on guns repairing and building many years and for many years in our basement. He was just like a brother to Jack. He was a great and kind man. He would do anything for anyone. He was so laid back but understood so many things in life. We often talked when he would have coffee and supper with us. He had alot interesting stories of his life and work and hobbies. He was very professional in his work. He was a family we will miss so much.We know where he is today looking down on all of us. No more sickness or pain. We will see him again when our time comes to go. We send our condolences to his family and friends. May you be blessed with peace and comfort.
