Robert Q. Lawson, Sr., 72, of Marienville, passed away at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 23, 2019 at the Snyder Memorial Health Care Center.Born February 9, 1947 in Franklin, he was the son of the late Harold and Hattie Lawson.In 1969, he married the love of his life, Marlene Joyce Silka Lawson, and she preceded him in death on January 12, 2019.Robert is survived by his sons, Rick Lawson of Polk, Robert Lawson, Jr., and his wife, Alice, of Titusville, and Steve Lawson of Oil City; his 11 grandchildren, Christopher Lee, Jessie and Dakota Dwayne Lawson of Cooperstown, Robert, Cody and Brian Lawson of Titusville, Crysta Adams of Kansas, Corder Estrada and Tyler Cramer of Oil City, Corrina Smith of Titusville, Marissa Aites of Colorado, and Leah and Ferdinand Heckathorn of Titusville; his 11 great-grandchildren; and his many siblings.In addition to his parents and wife, Robert was preceded in death by his grandson, Allen Lawson; and 9 siblings.As per the wishes of his family, there will be no visitation.The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin PA 16323 to help defray funeral expenses.To send cards and online condolences, family and friends are invited to visit www.gardinierfuneralhome.com.
