Beverly C. Foster Beverly C. Foster, 83, of Utica, died at 10:20 a.m., May 27, 2012, at home, surrounded by her loving family. Born August 28, 1928 in Reno, PA, Beverly was the daughter of the late Arvil and Ruth Lindsey Courson. She was married to James E. Foster, Sr., on September 10, 1946, and he preceded her in death on January 4, 2002. Mrs. Foster was a 1946 graduate of Rocky Grove High School. She worked for the U.S. Postal Service as the Postmaster in Utica from 1963 until 1990 prior to her retirement. Mrs. Foster was a 50 year member of the Utica Presbyterian Church., where she served as Church Treasurer, Elder and Deacon. Beverly also volunteered at Sugar Creek Station, and was a charter member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Utica Volunteer Fire Department. Mrs. Foster is survived by her five children, James E. Foster, Jr. and his wife, Donna, Judy George, Jack L. Foster, and Joan S. Foster, and her friend, Joe, all of Utica, and Julie F. Wiggins and her special friend, Dean Feltenberger, of Utica. She is additionally survived by her 10 grandchildren, Robby Foster and his wife, Kim, of Thurmont, Maryland, Robin Daugherty and her husband, Rich, of Butler, Jared Foster and his special friend, Katherine Adams, of Utica, Jordan Foster and his special friend, Rebecca Harris, of Harrisville, Heidi Foster and her friend, Mikey, of Utica, Jade Foster and her special friend, Cody Buckely, of Utica, Christin Foster and her special friend, Jesse Worsk, of Utica, Jessi George, Taylor Wiggins, and Malissa Wiggins, all of Utica; and her 5 great-grandchildren, Christopher Foster, Kylie Foster, Wyatt Daugherty, Sydney Daugherty, and Bryanna Daugherty. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Betty Foster of Cooperstown, and Millie Klasen of Sugarcreek Station; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Beverly was preceded in death by her brother, Jim Courson, and her sisters, Kay Perry and Marilyn Baker. Friends and family may call the Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin on Wednesday, May 30, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Services for Mrs. Foster will be held at the Utica Presbyterian Church at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 31 with C.R.E. Christine Kaye, Lay Minister of the Church, officiating. Interment will be in Lupher Chapel Cemetery.
