Gary Eugene Woods

Gary Woods Gary Eugene "Weasel" Woods, of Franklin, passed away at 9:00 a.m. on January 1, 2011, at Sugar Creek Station after a lengthy illness. Born in Franklin on June 20, 1942, he was the youngest child of the late Stuart and Ethel Gilliland Woods. Mr. Woods served several years in the United States Navy. He returned home and worked for Chicago Pneumatic Tool and Venango County, from which he retired. He was predeceased by his wife, Velma Shaner Woods; two brothers, Richard Woods and David Woods; and one sister, Doris McKain. He is survived by one daughter, Lori McDonald; two step-sons, William Shaner and Terry Shaner, all of Franklin; two brothers, Kenneth Woods of Franklin, and Donald Woods of Petal, Mississippi; and four grandchildren, all of Franklin. A Memorial Service for Gary will be held at the Congress Hill Church of God on Saturday, January 8, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Johnny Pennington, of the Congress Hill Church of God, and Pastor Mindy Graham of Uniontown Heights Sunday School, officiating.
