Amber ny heartfelt condolences to you. So sorry to hear about Evan. Prayers you will find some peace during this difficult time.
I remember fishing with Evan and his dad on Lake Willhelm and Evan was a little boy and he was dragging a lure behind the boat and I looked forward for a moment and looked behind me again and Evan was gone. I asked gunner if Evan was in the boat with us, Gunner said “ yes”. Thank goodness he had his life jacket on, we turned around and went back and there was Evan floating in the lake with a nice bass on the hook that is a story I will never forget about him. He will truly be missed. Praying for the whole family.

Family and Friends of Evan Thomas Tate, May God comfort and support you in the time of your loss. Our prayers and thoughts are with you. We both taught Evan and found him always to be so positive and loving. He cared for us and we cared for him. “Let not your heart be troubled; ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions. If it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.” John 14: 1 -3 May God Bless and Keep You, Lou and Susan Slautterback

I will never forget we were all Salmon fishing up on Oak Orchard. Evan was only four years old. He was fishing with all of the energy he could muster. He hooked a King salmon. Evan hollered “fish on!” The fish was about as big as Evan. He was determined to catch his fish. Fearing he might get dragged in to the river I grabbed the back of his pants and held on! Evan kept reeling until his dad came and netted the fish. He always was a fisherman even at 4 years old. God Bless him!!
