Otis Darrell Law, 66, of Franklin, passed away on the afternoon of February 1, 2022 at UPMC Northwest in Seneca. Born May 27, 1955 in Franklin, he was the son of Paul D. and Gladys (Stevens) Law. They both precede him in death. Otis was a member of the New Life Family Worship Center. In his youth, he loved playing sports. He was an avid fan of the Cleveland Browns and Franklin Knights - being proud to be one of the football players on the undefeated 1972-1973 team. In his down time, he greatly enjoyed watching a good western movie. He was a family man and a people person, he loved spending time with his grand children and he never met a stranger that he didn't like. Left to cherish his wonderful memory is his daughter, Otisa Law; his brothers, Fredrick Harris of Oil City, Paul D. Law and his wife, Marcy of Franklin, and Timothy Law and his wife, Deborah of Franklin; his sister, Jana Johnson; his grandchildren, Pa'Tience Law of Pittsburgh, Ty'Shon Law of Oil City, and A'Niya Caldwell-Law of Franklin; one great child, Amari Nolf of Oil City: and his bestfriends, Dennis "Buzzy" Scott of Florida, Joseph Liotta of Franklin, Mark Cole of Franklin, and Rodney Harris of Pittsburgh; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.In addition to his parents, Otis is preceded in death by his sisters, Priscilla Butler and Pauline Law; and his brother, Joseph A. Harris. Family and friends will be received on Saturday, February 5, 2022 from 11am - 1pm at the Gardinier-Warren Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin, PA 16323. Funeral services for Otis will be immediately following the visitation at 1pm with Dr. Lora Adams-King, pastor of New Life Family Worship Center, officiating.   9. My favorite memories includes being a little girl and he, my mom, sister and I would watch movies at night and always make popcorn. He was always cracking jokes during the movies! He was my 2nd father and was always checking on me. He was very special to me.

Dad, i don’t know what to say, its so heartbreaking n unfair… ?? but i do know you are no longer suffering or in any pain and your once again whole, and waking n dancing up there in heaven… you truely had an impact on many lives, including mine, and you raised one hell of an amazing daughter in otisa … thankyou fer being there when i was younger n giving me a father to talk to, i will never forget you, as with many others…. i love ya dad, r.i.h … i well see you again

I truly want to say how fortunate I personally feel to have been given the chance to care for such a captivating, magnetic, intelligent, good natured, fun loving and just plain lovable person as you were. I will treasure all the conversations, friends we became, that grin you had, your voice, always able to make someone feel needed and important to you. Not to mention sharing four star flips among other favorites. You were and are treasured by many including me. Love you and I will see you again one day walking in our Heavenly Fathers light.

My sweet precious uncle I will miss ur pep talks and encouragement u would inform me about family history that I was not aware of I still remember u staying in Youngstown with us when I was a little girl. And u always were such a loving uncle , dad cousin and brother to our family will miss deeply.

  15. Family: We are deeply saddened that we will no longer see Otis physically any longer. It hurts our hearts. We are excited for his new adventures with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We know he’s out of his chair now and running free and smiling from ear to ear. We will never say goodbye only “see you on the other side .” Mother Nature has chosen to keep us from attending but know that we are there in Spirit and Love…We will post some photos when we get back home.   16. I took care of Otis for many years being a nurse at UPMC. I know he was very much loved by his family. He had been through so much. May he Rest In Peace.

On a personal note, anytime I would visit Otie at his Chestnut Street residence it was I who would leave the better for the visit. He had this special gift to recall several of the more positive interactions we had with one another in the football player/coach relationship.
