Helen Ruth Keefer Wheeler, 86, of Franklin, passed away at Monarch Personal Care in Franklin on Friday, August 2, 2019.Born in Franklin on April 1, 1933, Helen Ruth was the daughter of the late John B. and Lena Bell Hoffman Shouey. She enjoyed knitting, doing puzzles in Word Search Books, and especially cherished spending time with her family.Helen Ruth is survived by her two sons, Rodney Keefer of Pittsburgh and Randy Graham of Franklin. She is also survived by her sister, Paige.In addition to her parents, Helen Ruth was preceded in death by her 3 sisters, Betty Glass, June Lake and Berdena Staaf; and her 4 brothers, Bill Shouey, Charles Shouey, Richard Shouey and Jack Shouey.A Memorial Service to celebrate Helen Ruth's life will be held at the Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc, 1315 Chestnut Street, on Wednesday, August 7th at 5:00 p.m., with Rev. Mark Rusnak, AseraCare Pastor, officiating. Ruth was an amazing women I took care of her and she has the biggest heart. She became part of my family, she was there thought my pregnancy and got to meet carter which she called her granddaughter since she didn’t have any of her own, she always did her make up and made sure her outfit was cute and loved to get her nails painted. I love you Ruth and I will cherish my memory with you forever
