Fred Edward "Ed" Walbourn, 85, of Franklin, passed away unexpectedly in his home on Tuesday, September 10, 2019.Born on March 3, 1934 in Franklin, he was the son of the late Fred Walbourn and the former Harriet Hummel.Ed married the love of his life, the former Georgia Edna Gregory, on February 18, 1955; she survives him.Ed worked in the Foundry at Chicago Pneumatic Tool (CPT) and then as a Truck Driver for the Teamster Union.In his spare time, Ed enjoyed being outdoors, especially to hunt rabbit, raccoon, and deer, and he cherished the many years he got to hunt with his grandsons. He enjoyed going to gun shows with Johnny and Dick and was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles.Most of all, Ed loved the time he spent with his family and with his dogs, especially Molly, his ""teddy bear" dog.Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Georgia Walbourn; his three daughters, Marsha Keller and her husband, Tom, of Winterhaven, FL, Jeanette Miller and her husband, Steve, of Cochranton, and Jodi Johnson and her husband, Mike, of Franklin; and by his seven grandchildren, Tom Keller and his wife, Penny, of Burgettstown, Tracy Scott and her husband, Dan, of Greenville, Todd Keller and his wife, Sue, of Sandy Lake, Brooke Burchill of Meadville, Lori Miller and her companion, Brad Lapaglia of Pittsburgh, Tyler Johnson and his wife, Sarah, of Franklin, and Trevor Johnson and his wife, Raeann, of Franklin.Ed is further survived by his thirteen great-grandchildren; and by his two sisters, Linda Towers and her husband, Wayne, of Franklin, and Roseann Byers and her husband, Duane, of Port Oxford, Oregon.Family and friends will be received on Thursday, September 12, 2019 at the Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin, PA 16323, from 3 pm to 7 pm. Funeral services for Fred will be held on Friday, September 13, 2019 at the funeral home, starting at 11 am, with Pastor David Lake, officiating.Ed will be laid to rest at the Hickory Grove Cemetery.Memorial contributions can be made in Ed's memory to the Venango County Humane Society, 286 South Main Street, Seneca, PA 16346.To send flowers, cards, online condolences, or for further information, family and friends are invited to visit www.gardinierfuneralhome.com.

  1. My sympathy and prayers for you Georgie, Marsha, Jeanette,& Jodi. I will never forget that time John and I were in PA, and Ed wanted to grill steaks instead of taking us out to eat.
