  8. To: Vi, Roberta, Meredith, Wayne and Bill’s entire family
I am so very sorry to read that “Bill” is no longer with us all. I (and my brother Will) have so many childhood memories from those days when Bill and his family lived directly across route 417 next to the old EUB/UM church in the ‘north end’ of Dempseytown. It has occurred to me that while Bill was alive, I had known he and Roberta longer than anyone else non-family that I have ever known that was still alive. As for baseball, Bill didn’t just play little league and pony league, he was the Oil City little league and pony league legend right next to Rennie Schneider. “Fortunately” I was a couple years younger so didn’t often have to face the ‘impossible’ task of trying to pitch or hit against him. I also remember 1968 and 1969 when we rented half of Bill and Vi’s ‘big house’ at Fosters Corners – initially there were four kids then Peggy came along to make five little ones right beyond the house wall!
In later years, I always liked talking to Bill because he always had a story to tell or an interesting event to describe.
Sincerely – “Tommy” and Lois Bickel

  9. To the Carll family, I am so sorry for your loss. May God grant you strength and comfort in this sad time. My deepest sympathy to you all.
    Sandy Hedegore

  10. My prayers to all of you. Were going to miss him so much . It will be the campfire stories that I will miss the most. If anyone could get the most out of life, it was you, Bill Carll, and you shared that with everyone you met.

  11. So so sorry to hear of your loss; please know you are all in my thoughts & prayers, Cindy MIller-McBride
