Peggy L. Exley, 66, of Franklin, passed away at UPMC Presbyterian in Pittsburgh on Tuesday, July 31st, 2018 at 11:52 p.m.She was born the loving daughter of Ray and Doris (Ward) Rial in Erie, PA on November 4, 1951.Peggy was a 1969 graduate of Franklin High School and loved to play volleyball. She was employed by Exley Lumber as a Secretary for some time and then switched gears to become a Bartender at the Corner Pocket Bar.When she wasn't working, Peggy loved to watch the Pittsburgh Steelers football team and spend time with her dogs, Smoke and Tony.She is survived by her longtime companion, Larry Deets of Franklin; her daughter, Heather Smith and her husband, Joshua, of Fostoria, OH; her son, Nathen Exley and his wife, Teresa, of Venus, PA; and her grandchildren, Dylan Fleming of Findlay, OH, Ayla Smith of Fostoria, OH, and Courtney, Katrina, Mailey, and Mason Exley all of Venus, PA.Peggy is further survived by her brothers, Jack Rial and his wife, Ginny, of Tionesta, and Steve Rial and his wife, Kathy, of Polk; her sister, Kay Bradley of Cincinnati, OH; and several nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by her brother, Dennis Rial, and her nephew, Robert Rial.As per her wishes, there will be no public visitation, but rather a Celebration of Life will be held at the Corner Pocket Bar, 340 Atlantic Avenue, Franklin, PA 16323, on Friday, August 3, 2018 at 2 p.m.The Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin PA has been entrusted with her arrangements.Memorial Contributions can be made in Peggy's name to the Salvation Army, 302 13th St, Franklin, PA 16323.
