Kenneth M. Woods, 84, of Franklin, passed away at 2:46 a.m. at The Caring Place on Sunday, April 2nd .Born November 25, 1932 in Polk, Kenneth was the son of the late Stewart and Ethel Gillan Woods. He married the former Elizabeth A. Mahle on December 9, 1957 and she preceded him in death on December 31, 2016.Mr. Woods worked for Franklin Steel and CPT before retiring as a Maintenance Supervisor in 1994 from Telsis Company in Fort Worth, TX. He was a Korean War Era Veteran having served with the United States Army from February 5, 1950 until February 20, 1952.Mr. Woods was a member of the Uniontown Sunday School and Church. He enjoyed doing maintenance and repairs, and was always helping people when his health permitted.Kenneth is survived by his 3 sons, Kenneth M. Woods, Jr., and his wife, Linda, of Tyler, TX; Donald M. Woods and his wife, Kathy, of Erie; and Robert P. Woods of Franklin; and his 2 daughters, Margaret "Peggy" Paulenich, and her husband, Dennis, of Virginia Beach, VA; and Malinda "Mindy" Graham and her husband, Charles, of Franklin. He is additionally survived by his 9 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.He is also survived by his brother, Donald Woods and his wife, Margaret, of Petal, MS; and his good friends, Linda Hughes, and Russ and Lois McPherson.In addition to his parents and wife, Kenneth was preceded in death by his 2 daughters, Cindy Elizabeth Woods and Debra K. Crosley; his brothers, David, Richard, and Gary Woods; and his sister, Doris McKain.As per his request, there will be no visitation for Mr. Woods. A memorial service will be held at a later date at the convenience of his family.
