Brent Carlyle Burger

Brent C. Burger, 66, of Cooperstown, passed away at his home on Tuesday, June 19th, 2018 at 9:39 p.m. surrounded by his loving family. He was born January 2, 1952 to Francis "Bus" Burger and Rebecca Burger (Deeter) and grew up in Cooperstown. He married his wife, Tonya R. Young on September 7, 1968 and she survives. Brent worked for Range Resources as a Location and Drilling Supervisor. He enjoyed wood working, tinkering, and entertaining friends and family. He also enjoyed outdoor activities like fishing, camping, and mowing his grass.In addition to his wife, Brent is also survived by his son, Mark Burger and his fiance, Jane Kroft; his daughter, Misti Kresinski and her husband, Bill; and his 2 grandchildren, Kelsey Kresinski and Brandon Burger.He is also survived by his brothers, Brian Burger and his wife, Sue, and Braden Burger and his wife, Susan; his mother and father-in-law, Martha Walter and her husband, Dale; his sister-in-law, Vennie Walter; his brothers-in-law, Bryan Walter and his wife, Mary Jo, and Brent Walter and his wife, Mary; several nieces and nephews, and great-nieces, great-nephews; and his close and best childhood friend, Denny Hicks and his wife, Deb.Brent is proceeded in death by his parents; his granddaughter, Gina Burger; and his grandmother, Wilhelmina Deeter and her husband, Harry Deeter. Family and friends will be received at the Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin on Thursday, June 21st from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Friday, June 22nd at 11 a.m. with Reverend Diane Whitman, pastor of the Cooperstown Presbyterian Church, officiating. Interment will be in Cooperstown Cemetery. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Yolanda G.
