Mabel was one of my best friends in high school and we stayed in touch throughout the years even though I lived away from Franklin for many of those years . Had many wonderful memories of our high school years and visits when we did get together. She was a kind and loving lady and will be missed. My condolences to her family. Lyril Rhines Banister

To Mabel’s family,
Our sincere condolences in the loss of a great lady. She was very knowledgeable of sports and I always appreciated her sense of humor and that sly grin she would give me afterwards. Sadly I didn’t collect on a batch of cookies she owed me from a wager we had. I loved sitting on her porch and listening to stories of her (and my mother’s) childhood.
May she rest in peace,
Ken ‘Teke’ Brannon
