Penny J. Adams, 61, of Franklin passed away on Monday, July 10, 2017 at 8:31 pm at UPMC Northwest.Born in Franklin, PA on October 7, 1955, she was the daughter of the late Forrest and Norma Lewis Kightlinger.She was a 1975 graduate of Franklin High School. On August 24, 1979, she married Robert Adams. Through the years, she had worked at Laurie's Country Kitchen, Franklin Area School District, and Main Street Market. She was the owner of Bobbi's Specialties Store in Franklin.Survivors include her husband, Robert; her daughters Bobbi Brown and husband Brandy of Franklin and Mary Jane Kightlinger of Franklin; her grandchildren Kandi, Katilynn and Rori Norris, Kayden and Haleigh Miller and Hunter Brown all of Franklin. She is further survived by her father-in-law Lester Adams and step-mother-in-law Linda Adams both of Polk; her brothers Charles Kightlinger and wife Danna of Sandy Lake and Kenneth Kightlinger and wife Linda of The Villages, FL and her sisters, Cindy Wells of Hadley and Rose Myers of Indiana.Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Dennis Kightlinger and her mother-in-law Twila Adams.Friends are invited to the Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin, on Saturday, July 15 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, July 15 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Daryl Adams, retired Free Methodist pastor, officiating.Interment will be at Old Sandy Cemetery.Family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the VNA Foundation , 491 Allegheny Blvd, Franklin, PA 16323.To send cards, flowers or online condolences friends and family are invited to visit www.gardinierfuneralhome.com.
