Betty A. Stearns, 86, of Franklin, passed away at 10:15 pm on Monday, April 23, 2018 at The Caring Place in Franklin where she had resided for the past several years.Born July 25, 1931 in East Liverpool, OH, Betty was the daughter of the late William Earl and Stella Leone Baker Longstreth. She was married to Lawrence G. Stearns, Sr., who preceded her in death. Mrs. Stearns was a homemaker. She enjoyed playing Bingo, and volunteered at the Oil City Community Center.Betty is survived by her 5 daughters, Penny Pierce and her husband, Eric, Sr., of Franklin, Sandy P. Kay and her husband, Tim Kay, of Franklin, Leona E. Colwell and her special friend, Wayne Colwell, of Franklin, Brenda L. Hanes and her special friend, Lloyd Umstead, of Grove City, and June Bucholz of Tionesta. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and her sister, Margaret Pechin of Cambridge Springs.In addition to her parents and husband, Betty was preceded in death by her 2 sons, Larry Stearns, Jr., and Vern "Skip" Long; her 2 grandsons, James Pierce and Dereck Pierce; and her great-grandson, Austin Pierce.A graveside service for Betty will be held at Kiser Hill Cemetery in Meadville on Friday, April 27 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Gary Small, Associate Pastor of Atlantic Avenue United Brethren in Christ Church, officiating. She enjoyed when I’d bring my little boy in to see her she treated him like one of her grandbabies! Love you Ms Betty!   3. Grandma you will be missed by many and I love you??. You always put a smile on my face, I would always try to make you laugh and when you did you brightended up the whole room.   6. I have many memories of gram …betty a very fiesty lady which i loved instantly ..my favorite memory is grocery shopping with her an terry lol we would get her so wound up .. Or even better her coming to meadville to stay with us and coming up spring st ahe literally is on the wrong side of the Road becuz she didnt like the others being so close to her hahaha ..i am very sad to see you go but I know your free and no more pain ..with her loved ones that she missed ..rest easy gram you have a special place in my heart ..

I remember the time we were in the gridge when I put on elvis presley you got up danceing and I don’t know if you new I got you on video and I got you dancing to conway Twitty and johnny cash in my bedroom and you still got the moves you would show me up in a heart beat tell my nephew Austain and my brouther james and derick and grampa tell them I love them very munch see you all soon I love you very much love daren pierce
