  1. Virginia I’m so sorry to hear of the loss of your husband, Howard. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family. Sorry I can’t make it to the funeral home as I’m in the hospital.

  2. I loved having “Mr. Edmiston” my junior year in high school for American History, way back in 1963. He was a great teacher and a good man with a terrific smile. My sympathies to his family.

  3. I’m so sorry for your family’s loss. Please find the comfort and help you need to get through this difficult time from our loving Father, Jehovah God, who is “the God of all comfort”. (2 Corinthians 1:3,4). God says that in the near future he will do away with death forever (Isaiah 25:8).

  4. I had Mr. Edmiston for home room my senior year at Franklin (1965-66). I had to stay in home room an extra 15 or 20 minutes or so because I took the second bus home. He was very affable and a lot of fun while I waited for the bus with Roberta Carson. I also remember him manning the press box on the visitors’ side of the old FHS football field when I started covering sports for The Derrick in the early 1970s. Very nice guy. May he rest in peace and I can only wish comfort for his friends and loved ones as they grieve their loss. Sincerely, Penny Weichel.

  5. I am so sorry of hear of Mr. Edminston’s passing. He was one of my favorite teachers in the mid-60’s as well as being my homeroom teacher one year. He was a fantastic teacher and wonderful role model for integrity and excellence. My deepest sympathy extends to each of you.

  12. Mr. Edmiston was one of my favorite teachers. His wit and enthusiasm made an otherwise dull subject stimulating. I looked forward everyday to his class. He was a great teacher as well as a friend. After he retired from teaching I would occasionally see hom at his coffee group at McDonald’s on Saturday mornings. He always was a delight and a gentleman.
