Marilyn C. McClelland, 86, of Franklin, passed away on June 10 at her residence. Mrs. McClelland was born in Franklin on March 22, 1931. She was the daughter of the late Peter and Georgia Baker Cauvel. On June 1, 1951 she married Glenn L. McClelland. Her family was the center of her life. She loved spending time with them and her grand fur baby, Dakota, who is a service dog.A Beloved charter member of Victory Heights United Brethren in Christ Church and a life member of the Women's Missionary Association.She retired from Cranberry Area School District in cafeteria services. Marilyn loved to play dominos with her friends and payed puzzles on her tablet. She enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates.She is survived by her son, Charles W. McClelland and his fiancee, Priscilla Eck of Franklin, and her daughter Michelle Colosimo of Zelienople. Additionally, she is survived by her brothers, Charles Cauvel and his wife Helen of Seneca, and Peter Cauvel Jr. and his wife Patty of Franklin; her sister, Maxine Montgomery and her husband Stanley of Franklin; her grandchildren, Nicholas Knauf of Oil City, Tyler Knauf of New York, NY and Kyle Knauf of Evans City; and her great grandchildren, Diamond Rose and Cyrus James Knauf of Oil City.She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.Family and friends of Marilyn will be received at the Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin on Friday, June 16 from 11 am to 2 pm with the funeral services to follow at the funeral home with the Rev. Roger Overmyer, retired Pastor of Victory Heights United Brethren in Christ Church, and Rev. Steve Henry, Pastor of Victory Heights United Brethren in Christ Church, officiating.Interment will be at Rockland Cemetery.Marilyn's family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Victory Heights United Brethren in Christ Church, 5978 US-322, Franklin, PA 16323.Family and friends of Marilyn are invited to visit www.gardinierfuneralhome.com to send flowers, cards or online condolences.
