Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. I had Mr. Annett as my sixth grade teacher at Gay Street Elementary. It was so long ago, but I do remember him as kind and patient and a good teacher. My condolences to his family.

  2. We are deeply saddened by the loss of your father, our condolences to the family. John was a wonderful neighbor and friend , we remember all the times he stopped by to visit, bringing snacks to enjoy with him over coffee and the good conversations. Our kids spent many winter days sled riding on his farm, with him and his wife , Agnes, and warming up with hot chocolate He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

  3. Eugene Jones
I fondly remember Mr. Annett as one of my favorite teachers. I had him in 4th Grade at Siverly Elementary School.I remember how He took the extra time out of his schedule to make sure we,( myself and other classmates), all reviewed math problems by his desk side during recess time. Just to think later in life I married his daughter and came to know him as my Father-in -law. My wife and I,along with the rest of the family, love and miss him tremendously.

  4. John and his wife Aggie were wonderful neighbors. Their farm market was an asset to our community in that it not only provided the area with farm fresh food but also employed all of the neighborhood youth. It was my first job and the foundation of my work ethic. Mr. Annett helped mold young lives on the farm as well as the classroom.
