John M. Sciarrone, 82, of Polk, passed away on Wednesday, December 30th at 9:00 a.m. at Sugarcreek Station in Franklin.Born June 20th, 1933 in Franklin, John was the son of the late Joseph and Rose Caccamo Sciarrone. He worked as a diesel mechanic for PennDOT for many years. John was a Korean Era US Army Veteran. He enjoyed country and western music, eating out with his friends, and enjoyed his C.B. radio.John is survived by his sisters: Sandy Sciarrone of Bradenton, FL, and Cathy Carter of Franklin; and his special nieces: Billiejo Carter of Hermitage and Cathiejo Carter of Franklin. John is additionally survived by his best buddy and long-time companion, his dog "Hobo."In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his brothers: Ange, Mick, Sal, and Val Sciarrone.Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street in Franklin. Per John's request, no visitation or funeral services will be held.   1. I just loved “BIG JOHN”!! I waitressed at Kings Family Restaurant for 28 years and John was nearly an everyday customer. He and Pete Grey were the highlight of my day! They were great friends and Pete always loved telling stories with him! I hope someone takes care of Hobo…John adored that dog! I have many good memories of him and I have missed him since I quit Kings in 2010.
