Elizabeth "Liz" A. Mahle Woods, 86, of Franklin, passed away peacefully at 8:39 p.m. on Saturday, December 31st at The Caring Place.Born November 4, 1930 in Oil City, Liz was the daughter of the late John Wilbur and Mary Evalyn Reed Mahle. She married Kenneth M. Woods December 9, 1957 and he survives.Liz was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, baking and helping people. She was a member Uniontown Sunday School and Church.In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Malinda "Mindy" Graham and her husband, Charles, of Franklin; her three stepsons, Kenneth M. Woods Jr. and his wife, Linda, of Tyler, TX, Donald W. Woods and his wife, Kathy, of Oil City, and Robert P. Woods of Franklin; her stepdaughter,  Margaret "Peggy" Paulenich and her husband, Dennis, of Virginia Beach, VA; and 9 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.She is also survived by her good friends, Linda Hughes and Russ and Lois McPherson.Liz was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Cindy Elizabeth Woods, her step-daughter, Debra K. Crosley, and her brother, Jack Mahle.A Memorial Service for Liz will be held at The Caring Place in Franklin on Saturday, January 7th at 2 p.m. The Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin, will be handling arrangements.The family suggests that Memorial Contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, PA Division, PO Box 896, Hershey Pa 17033-0896.To send online cards, flowers and condolences, family and friends are invited to visit www.gardinierfuneralhome.com.
