Michael G. "Magic" Kilgore, 38, of Franklin, was called into glory surrounded by his loving family on Monday, June 1st at 8:50 a.m. at UPMC Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh following a lengthy illness.Born November 18, 1976 in Franklin, Michael was the son of James Kilgore and Delores Lehman White. He was a 1996 graduate of Franklin High School and worked as a laborer for various companies in the local area. He attended Calvary Temple in Oil City. He was the best there ever was! Michael enjoyed fishing, woodworking, music, baseball, camping, being outdoors, and was an artist at popcorn making.Michael is survived by his father, James Kilgore and his wife, Pamela, of Beckley, WV; his 3 brothers, William A. Kilgore and his wife, Dawn, of Oil City, Steven R. White and his wife, Alicia, of Pittsburgh, and Jeffrey A. White of Pittsburgh; and his 3 sisters, MeriBeth Glenn and her husband, Michael, of Bruin, Amanda Bavuso and her husband, Adam, of Colorado Springs, CO, and Kate Ralph and her husband, Shawn, of Polk. He is also survived by his step-father, Rick White of Franklin; his maternal grandmother, Carolyn Lehman of Franklin; his paternal grandmothers, Lolly Tarr of Polk, and Peggy Kilgore of Franklin; and his 18 nieces and nephews. Michael was preceded in death by his mother, Delores Lehman White; his sister, Ann Marie Kilgore; his maternal grandfather, Glenn Lehman; and his paternal grandfathers, Webb Tarr and Lawrence Kilgore.Family and friends of Michael will be received at the Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin on Friday, June 5th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 6th at the Funeral Home, with Rev. David Janz, pastor of Christ United Methodist Church, Pastor Johnny Pennington, pastor of Congress Hill Church of God, and Rev. Rudy Rimer, pastor of Calvary Temple in Oil City, officiating. Interment will be in Graham Cemetery.The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Hillman Cancer Center, Volunteer and Community Services, William M. Mike truly was a sweet guy! His journey was rough but he was a fighter. God bless you Mike. May you be in peace. It was an honor to be one of your nurses. To the Kilgore family and friends, my deepest condolences.
