Linda J. Snyder, 65, of Franklin, passed away on Friday, July 17th at UPMC- Hamot in Erie. She was the daughter of the late Merle L. Baker and Elsie L. (Sweetapple) Baker. She grew up in Polk where her parents owned Baker's Hardware. Linda was married on August 9, 1969 to William M. (Bill) Snyder for almost 45 years. He passed away on January 16, 2014.Linda enjoyed going to the casino in Erie, playing bingo, crossword puzzles, and reading.Linda is survived by her daughter, Tamara L. Shields and her husband, Corey, of Franklin; and her sons, Timothy W. Snyder of Franklin, and William J. (BJ) Snyder and his wife, Amy, of Greenville.Also surviving are her granddaughters, Laken R. Shields, of Thiel College in Greenville, Skylar J. Shields of Franklin, and Rebecca L. Snyder of Edinboro University; and her grandson, Paxton J. Snyder of Greenville.She is additionally survived by her brothers, Denton Baker and his wife, Diane, of Polk, Terry Baker and his wife, Linda, of Franklin, and Brian R. Baker of Polk; her sister-in-law, Janet Heffern and her husband, Walter; and her brothers-in-law, R. Edward Snyder of Phonix, AZ, and Ronald Snyder of Philadelphia. She is also survived by many nephews and nieces.As per her wishes, there will be no visitation or services. Arrangements will be handled by the Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin, PA.The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Sandycreek VFD, Polk Fire Rescue, and/or to the Franklin Public Library.To send cards or online condolences, family and friends are invited to visit www.gardinierfuneralhome.com.
