Phyllis Jean O'Polka, 67, of Franklin, went to be with the Lord at 5:05 p.m. on Friday, July 1st at UPMC Northwest in Seneca.Born December 14, 1948, in Raymilton, Phyllis was the daughter of the late Luther and Gertrude Donahue. She married John O'Polka on August 19, 1978, and he survives.Phyllis worked as a Nurses Aide at Sugarcreek Station, and at one time at Polk Center. She also had worked as a cashier at Central Elementary School. She was a member of Congress Hill Church of God, and enjoyed using social media (Facebook) to keep track of her family and friends. Phyllis was a very caring, loving, selfless person, who enjoyed doing things for others.In addition to her husband, John, Phyllis is survived by her children, Joseph N. and Christine D. O'Polka, both of Franklin; her sister, Mary Donahue, of Erie; and many nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents; her five brothers, Carlos, James, Howard, Ova and Dixon Donahue; and her two sisters, Lillian Donahue and Hattie Umstead.Family and friends of Phyllis will be received at the Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin on Wednesday, July 6th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at the Funeral Home on Thursday, July 7th, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Johnny Pennington, pastor of Congress Hill Church of God, officiating.   1. I can remember when Phyllis was in the same cna class as me seems so long ago.She was a very good friend and coworker. She was so dedicated to her job that she came to work many times not feeling well but got thru her shift with a smile on her face. Phyllis will be missed very much,the good Lord surely did get an angel when he called Phyllis home. RIP BARB DELANCEY

  2. Remembering our Sundays at the Congress Hill church when kids were little and later on when we worked together at the Station. Her kind spirit will be missed.
