Phyllis G. Crawford, 76, of Cooperstown, passed away on Monday, November 2nd at 10:42 a.m. at her daughter's residence in Franklin.Born May 15, 1939, Phyllis was the daughter of the late John and Lillian Brown Ritchey. In March of 1958, Phyllis married Phillip H. Crawford, who survives.Phyllis was a member the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Franklin. She enjoyed country music, puzzle books, and riding horses in her spare time. She loved her family, and most of all her grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Phyllis is survived by her son, Gary Crawford, and his wife, Sally, of Franklin; her son, Randy Crawford, and his wife, Lisa, of Maryland; her daughter, Betty Burkhardt, and her husband, Dale, of Franklin; her daughter, Pammy Crawford, and her fiance, Alvin Zinz, of Franklin; and her daughter, Patty Snyder, and her husband, Doug, of Dempseytown. She is additionally survived by her brother, Clair Ritchey, and his wife, Linda, of Oil City; her brother Walt Ritchey, of Oil City; and her sister, Louise Daily, and her husband, Bill, of Polk.Phyllis is also survived by her 11 grandchildren: Josh Burkhardt, and his wife, Candida, of Franklin; Coty Burkhardt of Franklin; Matthew Crawford, and his wife, Corrina, of Franklin; Gary Crawford Jr. of Franklin; Phillip E. Crawford, of Oil City; Latoshia Collins of Franklin; Natanya Collins of Sunville; Cade Crawford of Maryland; Connor Crawford of Maryland; Baine Snyder of Dempseytown; and Kyle Crawford of Maryland. Additionally, Phyllis is survived by her 5 great-grandchildren.In addition to her parents, Phyllis was preceded in death by her brother, Alfred Ritchey; her sister, Dorothy Stahlman; and her sister Joyce Willyoung. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 8th at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1410 Pittsburgh Road, in Franklin. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, in Franklin. Phyllis is one of the sweetest aunts I have with lots of memories , sleep overs, riding bikes from our home to hers, playing an spending time with all her children, riding horses or chasing them down the road,( a pony name Neg). All the while Phyllis was their to see we had a drink, a bite to eat, make sure we went home on time, an even to keep us in line . My heart is with all of you .
